Assistance to Firefighters/EMS Grant

This week the Dept. of Homeland Security released the guidelines for the 2009 Assistance to Firefighters grants.  The program is open to fire departments and EMS and “enables local fire departments and emergency medical services organizations to purchase or receive training, conduct first responder health and safety programs, and buy equipment and response vehicles.”  A comprehensive online tutorial program is available.  Proposals are due May 20.
