National Rural Health Association Conference
Last week I was in Miami (!!!) for the annual NRHA conference. I attended some great presentations by people working in a variety of rural health care fields. Among the most interesting was a great presentation on putting together a workable (and working!) rural coalition (Session 1C: Rural Best Practices). Another described how the Community Paramedic program can help to fill the increasingly large gap between rural health care needs and providers (3E: Community Paramedics). And our Director, John Eich, talked about how to employ social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) in rural health care (5C: Social Networking and Me). All of these presentations and others are available on the NRHA conference site. I encourage you take a look.Â
